The Beestera Foundation Helps with “Super Girls Clinic” in the City of Albany
Recent soccer clinic encourages, enables, and empowers all girls to play soccer

In partnership with Albany Youth Soccer and Albany Soccer Club, the Beestera Foundation recently provided a team of coaches for the “Super Girls Clinic” in the City of Albany.
The June 19th clinic brought together nearly 40 elementary school girls for an hour of skills training and interactive empowerment activities. All players received a branded swag bag and Super Girls Clinic t-shirts, courtesy of Albany Soccer Club.
“The Super Girls Clinic is an opportunity to bring back the feeling to the girls in our community that their presence on the pitch is wanted,” said Kevin Kraus, a volunteer coach at Albany Soccer Club. “Soccer, and sport in general, helps young players develop lifelong healthy habits on and off the field. We [Albany Soccer Club] wanted to show the girls and their families that we value the girls who participate on our teams and would love them to play travel soccer.”
The Beestera Foundation’s mission is to develop great athletes and better people through sport. The Foundation concentrates its efforts in underserved communities by providing support to youth sport organizations in the form of scholarships, equipment, coaching education, and operational support.
The Beestera Foundation provided five coaches for the event: Maia Lemov (Bethlehem High School), Isa Provost (Sage College), Maya Campbell (Albany High School), Miriam Eligberg (Albany High School), and AnnaKate Sheehan (Albany High School).
“It is really fun to work with girls who love soccer as much as I do,” said volunteer coach, AnnaKate Sheehan. “Clinics, like Super Girls, were critical for my development as a player growing up, and I want to be part of giving the next generation of female players the same opportunity.”
A very special thank you to Albany High School for the use of their grass soccer fields; and to Albany Soccer Club and Albany Youth Soccer for their ongoing partnership in this endeavor.
The Beestera Foundation is excited to kickstart their philanthropic efforts in the Capital Region and plans to expand the Super Girls Clinic in the future.
